Antrim GAA Race Day 2008

Friends,

The new year presents a new challenge to those among us striving to lift the standards of Gaelic Games throughout the county of Antrim. Antrim County Board and Club Aontroma together, and in partnership with the business community throughout Antrim and from far beyond, set a new standard for fundraising in the county last year. The Saffron Sweep drew on support from within clubs and supporters while the Raceday proved to be both a fi nancial success as well as a hugely enjoyable corporate networking event. We aim to ensure that the Raceday is even more successful in 2008. With your help we believe this can be achieved – and that we can all benefit.

Last year’s event was a sell out and attracted more than 65 businesses who supported us through booking a table. Every ‘punter’ who was there on the day was automatically entered into a number of competitions providing an opportunity to win one of an array of exciting prizes. High profi le GAA stars mingled with the guests, top prizes were won and we even got the weather we were looking for.

We can’t guarantee the weather this year (although we are working on it!) but we do know that the Antrim GAA Race Day 2008 will be one of the most signifi cant events in the GAA calendar this year. Be assured that your support is very much appreciated and that all funds raised go directly into achieving the kind of success we all want to see with Antrim. As a county we are no longer prepared to simply compete but we want to be competitive. All of this takes fi nance and I hope we can rely on you to again support Antrim. If you missed out last year, come along this May and enjoy a milestone day in the racing and GAA calendar.
