Introduction
Almost without exception, we must now face a rapidly changing economic world. Those who embrace the inevitability of radical change are most likely to survive in business as in life and ultimately to succeed. The Antrim Year Book will now be published in the form of an e Book or electronic version of the former, and, will as before, provide a chronicled history of club growth, development and achievement, upon an ongoing and annual basis.
To some people radical change is all too easily misunderstood at outset and again all too hastily perceived as threatening. The loss of the printed version of the Antrim Year Book has, in some situations, created disappointment for some, especially the elderly and that cannot be overlooked and is to be regretted. However, for others there has been something of an unnecessary and irrational fear, in the absence of a knowledge of the facts; the advantages of the transition far out weight disadvantages.
Reduced production costs, ease of reference and printing off, widespread Internet accessibility, efficient and effective marketing strategy, convenience and availability of update function, flexibility of timing for publication, removal of inefficient guess work in terms of production quantities, relief from deadline publication pressure upon individuals and clubs; these are some of the immediate and distinct advantages, which accrue from the publication of an e Book.
