Double Success for St Pat's, Loughgiel

Cup PresentationOn Thursday 6th March St. Patrick's Primary School Loughgiel headed off to St.Patrick's Ballymena for the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol All County Indoor Camogie and Hurling finals. Both our teams were very anxious to capture these two titles. The boys fought a tough battle against Holy Trinity PS in the semi-final but managed to secure their place in the final. They had to then play Mount St Michael’ in the final. This was a superb display of skill and team work on the part of the boys and they won by a score of 7 nil.

The girls participated in a round robin play off. They were up against St. Patrick's Glenariffe in the first match and lost by one goal. They then had to play St.Mary's Portglenone and after a shaky start in the first match they really upped their game and won this match 5 nil. After a thrilling match between Glenariffe and Portglenone, with Portgelone coming out on top, the final winners were decided on goal difference. The Loughgiel girls again secured victory in the indoor finals for the second year running - a great display by all.
