Dia daoibh a chairde, agus tá fáilte mhór romhaibh ar ais! You are all very welcome back to the Saffron Óg as Gaeilge!
Tharla cuid mhór an mhí seo, a lot happened this month, with Bun Abhann Dalla (Cushendall) winning Craobh Uladh (Ulster Championship) agus Naomh Gall playing in Craobh Uladh sa pheil.
Not only are the county and provincial championships faoi lán seoil, but tá Éire ag imirt anois (Ireland are playing now) against an Astráil (Australia). The second match is on the 31st Deireadh Fómhair (October), or Oíche Shamhna (Halloween night). So when Éire win (hopefully) you can go trick or treating, or as Gaeilge bob agus bia a imirt!
You may see tinte ealaíne (fireworks) or indeed a tine chnámh (bonfire). Cnámh means a bone and this goes back to the time of the Celts, when they burnt animal bones, but I think that adhmad (wood) would be better these days.
Tá súil agam gur bhain sibh sult agus tairbhe as an eagrán seo (I hope you enjoyed and benefited from this latest edition), idir an dá linn, Ádh mór oraibh!
