Rossa - U12 Hurling Champions
Rossa from Belfast defeated Loughgiel Shamrocks by two goals and six points to one goal and four points in the Antrim final played in Corrigan Park Belfast.
Ahead at half time by eight points to no score Rossa were rocked by the young Loughgiel boys who scored one goal and a point to narrow the gap to four points but Rossa held on for a well deserved victory. Congratulations to Rossa hard luck Loughgiel.
Great Double for Belfast Teams
St Johns won the county under 14 football championship when they defeated South West league winners St Comgalls of Antrim Town in the final. While the Jonnies won easily it was great to a team from Antrim reach a county final.
Lamh Dhearg were the winners of the under 16 championship when under the brilliant Casement floodlights they defeated Cargin.
Cushendall win Ulster Senior Hurling Championship
Well done to Cushendall who defeated Down Champions Ballygalget in the Ulster Final.
St Galls got there Ulster Football championship off to a good start with a win against Mayobridge. Good luck to them against cavan Gaels int he next round.
