Fáilte romhaibh a chairde! A big warm welcome to all our readers of Saffron Óg as Gaeilge.
Mí na Nollag atá ann, it’s December and we all know what that means – Daidí na Nollag, bronntanais, sioc, sneachta agus laethanta saoire! Santa, presents, frost, snow and of course holidays!
Usually at this time of year we’ll see crann Nollag being decorated with soilse and other decorations. Then we will have turcaí agus dinnéar na Nollag, galánta, beautiful!
Irish loves Christmas that much that we even have a ‘small Christmas’ or Nollaig Bheag. This can be used to say New Year’s Day or even for the Epiphany on the 6th January.
Of course it won’t be all fun and play, Aontroim has 2 teams going on to play in Craobh na hÉireann, san iomáint. Bun Abhann Dalla agus Gort na Móna both play sa doineann, or the bad weather. Ádh mór orthu!
Bhuel, sin sin for this month a chairde! Bainigí sult as an Nollaig agus as na laethanta saoire!
