Antirm beaten by Dubs
At a packed Croke Park in the Leinster Hurling Championship Antrim were well beaten in the end despite being on level terms just after the interval. Aided by a strong breeze in the first half Antrim opened the scoring only to see the Dubs take control to lead by five points. A great fightback saw the Saffrons only a point behind at the break after missing numerous chances. A poor second half display saw Dublin again in charge to win by 2 16 to 0 12.
Brilliant Antrim defeat Donegal in Championship
This has been a great year for the counties footballers after getting promotion to Div 3 of the National Football league the now are in the semi final of the Ulster Football Championship after this great victory over a fancied Donegal team. A large contingent of supporters made the journey to Ballybofey to cheer on the team who showed great heart, skill and determination to win by one point .The Saffrons got off to a great start scoring the first two points and were just a point in arrears at the break. A fantastic goal from Tomas McCann left Antrim four in front and despite all Donegals pressure Antrim held on to win by a point.
Congratulations to the players and management. Good luck against Cavan
