Antrim GAA Visit the Official Club Aontroma Website
A Champion Day in Ballycastle

On the occasion of the official opening of McQuillan GAC’s new pitches and clubrooms All-Ireland Hurling Champions, Kilkenny, arrived in Ballycastle to play Antrim.

GAA President, Nickey Brennan, officiated at the ceremony and at half-time presented Cumann na mBunscol ball-boys and girls Megan McHenry (St. Patrick's & St Brigid's PS Ballycastle and Ballycastle Camogie Club), Daniel McKeague (St. Patrick's Primary School and McQuillan's GAC), Daniel Convery (St. Ciaran's Cushendun and Cushendun GAC) and Cormac McAlister (St. Mary's Cushendall and Ruairi Ogs GAC) with shirts to commemorate their participation in the great event.

All the children had a wonderful day - it's not every day reigning All-Ireland Champions grace the fields of North Antrim - and so they will have great memories of seeing their heroes at very close quarters.

Cumann na mBunscol ball-boys and girls are presented with polo shirts by Nickey Brennan, along with County Chairman John McSparran and Youth Officer Tony McCollum.
