Antrim were denied victory in this exciting final in Croke Park, by Tommy Gill of Wicklow scoring a last second goal in extra time after the teams were level at the end of 70 minutes on a 1-15 to 2-12 score line. With 30 seconds left in extra time and Antrim hanging on to a one-point lead, Wicklow snatched the victory with that heart-breaking goal.
